God Has Not Forgotten You
God gave me three things to look out for: white hair, orange, and an eye issue. He didn’t give me a specific location, so I simply followed my partner’s lead. We approached a shop on the third floor, and a sign caught my attention: “Handmade with 🧡.” As I read it aloud, the owner heard me and stood up to greet us, saying, “I heard you!” He had white hair, an orange Nike logo on his T-shirt, and was wearing glasses. I started by asking about his corporate-gifting business and mentioned that we were from the church nearby. I then told him that God had revealed three things for me to look out for that morning, so that I could bless someone. I said that he might be the person God had led us to. He was surprised, especially when I asked whether he had any concerns about his eyesight. He replied that everyone has concerns about their eyes. I told him that, thankfully, my eyesight is still good, and shared that I often pray to have eyes like Moses, who was still able to see well in his old age. He recognised Moses as the man who parted the Red Sea. After a few more minutes of conversation, he shared that he was also a Christian. We blessed his business and prayed for his health and eyesight. He was grateful. I sensed that this encounter reminded him that Jesus loves him and has never forgotten him.
Planting a Seed of Faith
On the morning of 24 July 2026, I asked the Holy Spirit how I could bless my hairstylist, whom I was meeting later for a haircut. I prayed, “Lord, please give me a conversation starter.” My hairstylist is very involved in HYROX competitions. That day, he told me he would be travelling to Bangkok for a competition. He mentioned how tough it was and joked that he hoped he wouldn’t die from it—but if he did, he wanted to go to heaven. I thought, “Wow, Lord, You answered my prayer! What a conversation starter!” I immediately shared with him that, according to my faith, we need to believe in Jesus to receive eternal life. I then told him about God as our Creator. I explained that robots can never truly replace human beings because we are wonderfully and uniquely created by God. For example, God has given him a pair of hands and skilled fingers to work with people’s hair—something a robot cannot do in the same personal way. He laughed and agreed. I also shared about the miracle of how God forms each of us in our mother’s womb, and he was amazed by what I shared. I may not have shared everything about Jesus as our Saviour yet, but I believe I planted a seed by sharing about who God is. One day, I hope to have another opportunity to tell him more about Jesus and His saving love.
