Generational Blessings

On 1 March 2025, JS, JC and GT gathered to pray, seeking God’s guidance to reveal the treasure He had prepared for them that day. During the time of prayer, JS received a vision of a grandfather cradling a baby in his hands.  However, no specific direction was revealed regarding where to find the treasure. GT then shared a vision she had earlier in the week of small yellow flowers arranged in a creamy vase. As JC intended to deliver eczema cream to a shop owner at Roxy Square, both JS and GT accompanied her, hoping they might find their treasure there. However, they were unable to deliver the cream as the shop owner was busy attending to a customer. As they walked through Roxy Square feeling somewhat lost in their search, GT prayed again for God’s guidance. The nearby mail, i12 Katong, came to her mind and she suggested they head there. At the café in i12 Katong, they saw a grandfather and a baby with their family, which made them wonder if these were the individuals from JS’s vision. However, they felt a hesitation in approaching them and sensed that this might not be the right family. Continuing their walk, they came across another grandfather with a baby in a stroller sitting at a different café. GT noticed two small round tables, each with two chairs, and quickly took one to position them closer to the grandfather. After ordering their drinks, a young lady and a young man joined the grandfather at the table. Both JC and GT spontaneously approached the three of them and started conversation with them. They found out that the young lady and man are married to each other and that the grandfather is the young lady’s father and the baby is the young lady’s niece, C. They are Christians and were there to babysit C while waiting for C’s parents who were attending a class nearby. GT felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to share Psalm 23:6 with the young lady. As she listened, tears streaming down her face. They invited her join their table so they could pray for her, It became evident that she was going through a difficult time. JS noticed that the young man seemed troubled and asked if he would be willing to talk. To their surprise, he came and sat in the empty chair. He shared his struggles at work with his boss and colleagues. The words came to GT’s mind for him: “Am I not the God who has been watching over you”. They encouraged him to pray for his situation and seek God’s guidance, especially since both he and his wife said they do not really pray nor read the Bible much. They also encouraged them to consider water baptism, as both JS and GT felt the Lord was calling them to take that step of obedience. Meanwhile, JC ministered to the grandfather. She received a word of knowledge in Chinese “寬容” (“tolerant”) meant specifically for him. GT also received the word “unforgiveness”. When she shared that someone had betrayed and hurt him before, and that God wanted him to forgive, the grandfather was surprised and asked how she knew. GT simply replied that God had revealed it to her. They also prayed for healing over the numbness in his hand, which was linked to his spine. They also met the young lady’s brother-in-law or C’s father. He willingly sat at the empty chair which the young man had vacated. JS ministered to him with another the word of knowledge. He shared his concerns and the responsibilities he would face if he accepted the role of cell leader in his church. GT sensed a prompting from the Holy Spirit to share Nehemiah 8:10 with him as a means of encouragement to embrace this role. As they said goodbye to the family, GT noticed their faces were glowing with joy. The once-empty chair had been filled time and again with those God had drawn to receive His love, encouragement, and healing. JS found her treasure.  As GT pondered over the vision of the small yellow flowers, the Jasmine flower came to her mind, and GT realised that the name of the young lady was Jasmine. With gratitude, she gave thanks to God for His perfect guidance in leading them to the treasure He had prepared. PRAISE BE TO GOD. JC: This was truly an incredible journey with God. My key takeaway is that we don’t need to strive; we simply need to let God be God. By being still, listening, and following the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we see that God is present in every step. He orchestrated this divine appointment for us to connect with a family spanning three generations – father, daughter, and granddaughter. We pray that this will become a meaningful chapter in their story, passed down through generations to come.

Connecting Relationally

About two and a half years ago, CL and GT met Mdm Lee, who was 80 year old at that time, on a train after a Sunday service. While standing nearby, CL initiated a conversation with her. During their interaction, GT received a word of knowledge about Mdm Lee’s husband having a heart condition and shared it with her. Mdm Lee was taken aback and repeatedly asking how GT knew such information. Her curiosity opened the door for GT to share the message of Jesus with her and prayed for her husband, and they exchanged contact information afterward. Since then, CL and GT have been regularly following up with Mdm Lee, often inviting her out for breakfast and taking every opportunity to share the gospel and build a connection with her. Mdm Lee has a sister named Lydia, who is a Christian and often, both of them were met up with them for breakfast. Mdm Lee once worked as a cleaner in a church, where both the pastor and some members of the congregation tried to reach out to her. However, she struggled with doubts about God and was reluctant to acknowledge her need for salvation. This made it challenging for CL and GT to share the gospel with her, so they chose instead to focus on building a genuine friendship with her rather than pushing the gospel message. During their most recent meeting prior to Christmas, Mdm Lee shared that a friend had invited her to church. CL and GT encouraged her to attend the Christmas service with her friend. Subsequently, their busy work and ministry schedules prevented them from meeting her again until 12 May 2025. Leading up to that day, GT felt led by the Holy Spirit to reconnect with Mdm Lee and her sister, Lydia, and coordinated with CL to arrange the meeting. Lydia later messaged GT, informing her that Mdm Lee had slipped and fallen at home, and could only meet them at West Mall, which was closer to her residence. Concerned for Mdm Lee’s well-being and her salvation, GT spent the morning praying in the spirit and interceding on her behalf. While waiting for Mdm Lee and Lydia to arrive at the designated location, GT told the Lord she didn’t know what to say or share during the breakfast. In that moment, the Holy Spirit gently impressed upon her heart with these words, “You prayed — I will do the work.” GT felt a deep sense of relief and peace. While CL and Lydia went to buy breakfast, GT took the opportunity to ask Mdm Lee about her recent fall at home. Mdm Lee shared with tears in her eyes that, ten days ago; she had slipped on wet floor and, in that moment, called out to Jesus. Sensing that her heart was receptive to receive the salvation, GT asked if she was willing to invite Jesus into her life. She gladly agreed, stretched out both hands, and allowed GT to guide her in the Sinner’s Prayer. It was a moment of joy—the three of them clapped and rejoiced over Mdm Lee’s salvation. What a privilege it is to partner with the Holy Spirit in reaching lost souls for salvation. The word of knowledge given to Madam Lee connected her to God. She continued to hold onto that word, sharing it with her sister, friends, and family.  Even as she was leaving the food court, she still spoke about that significant word.

Matters of the Heart

As JC, GT, and CL gathered in prayer, they received the words: KS Mall, a green flower stem with a white flower, heart issue, and St. John’s Ambulance. As they made their way toward KS Mall, JC noticed some plants along the path with green stems and white flowers, drawing GT and CL attention to this detail. Upon arriving at KS Mall, they struck up a conversation with a gentleman manning a booth at the flea market. However, after speaking with him, they sensed that he was not the treasure they were looking for. GT then suggested going up one floor. CL, recalling a previous visit with SK, wanted to take a moment to greet a stall owner they had spoken with before. During that earlier visit, CL and SK had given the lady a prophetic card that included the word “heart.” At the time, the lady mentioned she had no heart-related concerns, which left CL feeling somewhat discouraged, as none of the words in the card seemed to resonate with her. This time, GT—who had never met the lady before—began chatting with her. As they spoke, GT felt prompted to share the phrase “heart issue.” Once again, the lady insisted she had no physical or emotional heart issues. At that moment, CL remembered the prophetic card and reminded the lady about it. As the lady could not recall the card or its words, they were about to move on when JC, with sharp eyes, spotted the very card displayed in the stall’s showcase. As the conversation continued, the lady unexpectedly shared that over 20 years ago, she had experienced deep hurt from someone. She assured them that she had already forgiven the person. GT gently encouraged her into verbally professing and releasing forgiveness over the person. The lady willingly confessed her forgiveness, bringing closure to this long-past wound, as she joyfully declared that she wants to be set free. As they reflected on the encounter, they marveled at how the Holy Spirit had revealed the word “heart” twice—first through the prophetic card and again through the word to GT. It was no coincidence but rather a divine confirmation that God was tenderly pursuing this lady’s heart, bringing healing to a wound she had long carried. Truly, God is a loving and relentless pursuer of hearts, revealing His words in perfect timing to set His children free.

Divine Detour

Before heading out for the treasure hunt, SK and CL prayed and received visions and impressions of a mall, seashells, a heart, rows of flowers, closed shutters, and a kangaroo (impression: moving forward). Based on these visions, our initial thought was to visit the florist at the mall. As we were heading to the florist, we made our way up the escalator, and a stall caught our eye. There, amidst all the usual sights, were stools that looked like seashells. However, as we took a closer look, we realized they were actually made from twirled reed material. As we continued to inspect the stools, we noticed some colorful beaded bags. The intricate beadwork on them resembled flower arrangements, with some even featuring flower designs. The bags were vibrant and eye-catching, drawing us in immediately. We ended up striking up a conversation with the friendly owner of the shop. She shared with us that she is a permanent resident here in Singapore and is seeking citizenship. Her first application has been unsuccessful. She had paid an agent to handle the application, and the cost covered two attempts. She plans to apply again in the near future. She spoke about the power of the Singaporean passport, which allows for easy travel to many countries without the need for visas. As our conversation continued, the topic of citizenship shifted to something deeper as SK shared with her about a greater citizenship, the Kingdom of Heaven. It turned out that she was a believer too, though she had not been attending church regularly. She told us that she had been drawn to churches in the area but had yet to settle on one. We took a moment to pray for her. We prayed for her citizenship application, her business, and her family. As we prayed, we could see tears welling up in her eyes. There was something powerful about the moment, and we truly believe that God is waiting for His children to return to Him. It was one of those unexpected encounters that reminded us that God is always working in the background, drawing hearts back to Him—even through the most ordinary circumstances. We are thankful for that brief, yet meaningful connection.

LOVE

Huey Lee had a vision of the colour blue and ice cream, prompting them to visit a near by ice cream shop, where they were pleasantly surprised to find blue-coloured ice cream. They were attended to by a staff, who had previously seemed reserved and troubled. Several members from the teams have also been praying for him and releasing Words of Knowledge as well as prophetic drawings to encourage him during past visits. They were delighted to observe that although the staff remained shy, he now served them with joy. They believed that by sowing seeds of kindness, God would work in others. Both Glory and Huey Lee found encouragement in the sign “The greatest of all is love” displayed in the shop, as the Fruit of the Spirit that they had picked during grouping exercise was “LOVE”.

FAITHFULNESS

Carol and LK returned to visit a shop owner at the jewelry shop. During their earlier prayer, LK had a vision of flowers, and they were astonished to find glass-blown flowers in the shop. The shop owner had recently undergone surgery due to an injury sustained while assisting his wheelchair-bound mother. LK prayed for the shop owner, asking for creativity and success in his business. They later discovered that the shop owner was actually an artist, and the glass ornaments in his shop were crafted by him. The shop owner, who is also a believer, requested prayers for his mother, who has been battling schizophrenia for nearly two decades. This encounter reminded them of the power of prayer and the importance of supporting one another in faith.

Lost Sheep

Carol and Glory went to the basement supermarket at I12 mall and noticed a lady limping while she worked. She shared that she was a Christian but found it hard to attend church due to her job. They prayed for her, especially for her knees. Later, they met another person promoting chocolates. She was 19 and studying at a polytechnic. When they offered to pray for her, she hesitated but then opened up, sharing that she used to attend their church but drifted away when her cell group grew and multiplied. She felt disconnected, as her friends had scattered, and the cell group no longer felt like family. They prayed for God to touch her heart and encouraged her to return to the church, giving her a service timing card. They assured her that their meeting was no coincidence and that God cares for His lost sheep. She was deeply moved by their words, feeling a renewed sense of God’s love and care.

Hello

Yantiar shared that while having lunch with her husband at a food court, she noticed a man who appeared to be in a dazed and down. She initiated a conversation with a simple hello. The man shared that he had recently begun kidney dialysis about six months ago and appreciated someone asking how he was doing. Yantiar shared her own experience of her healing from thyroid with him and discovered that he had attended church before. She shared with him that there is a Creator who desires our return to Him. Yantiar prayed blessings over the man and reminded him that when he receives healing, he should remember that it is Jesus who heals him. Yantiar learned from this encounter how crucial it is to listen to others and to uplift them through prayers and encouragement. She emphasized that, in moments of doubt about whether to share or not, one should simply take the initiative.

The Church Across the Street

Carol and Sarah spoke to a worker taking a break at Katong V. They shared the message that Jesus loves him and discovered that he is a Malaysian Christian actively seeking a church. Since he finished work at 5 pm, they informed him that their church was just across the street and had a 5 pm service. He wasn’t aware of the nearby church, so they gave him a service timing card and encouraged him to visit. They also spoke with a florist near Katong V’s entrance. They hesitated but eventually shared the message, “Jesus misses you”. They learned that she was a Christian who hadn’t attended church in many years due to busyness at work. They also gave her a church service timing card, as she wasn’t aware of the nearby church.

Sunny-Side-Up

While praying near Higher Ground, LK and Cindy had visions of a sunny-side-up, a dog e-collar, and scissors. As they left, they spotted a truck delivering eggs at the church entrance but did not approach the truck as it wasn’t a sunny-side-up. Later, as they crossed the street, they saw Sister E and Brother J from Higher Ground, who were carrying a tray of eggs. Their conversation was brief due to them rushing to open the shop. After searching the Katong area without finding a sunny-side-up, a dog e-collar, or scissors, they decided to return to the church and as they sat in front of Higher Ground, they noticed that the blinds were up, revealing a menu with a sunny-side-up near the cashier. They approached Brother J to inquire if he had any prayer requests, and he requested prayers for more volunteers to help at the shop as they were short-handed.
