Connecting Relationally
About two and a half years ago, CL and GT met Mdm Lee, who was 80 year old at that time, on a train after a Sunday service. While standing nearby, CL initiated a conversation with her. During their interaction, GT received a word of knowledge about Mdm Lee’s husband having a heart condition and shared it with her. Mdm Lee was taken aback and repeatedly asking how GT knew such information. Her curiosity opened the door for GT to share the message of Jesus with her and prayed for her husband, and they exchanged contact information afterward. Since then, CL and GT have been regularly following up with Mdm Lee, often inviting her out for breakfast and taking every opportunity to share the gospel and build a connection with her. Mdm Lee has a sister named Lydia, who is a Christian and often, both of them were met up with them for breakfast. Mdm Lee once worked as a cleaner in a church, where both the pastor and some members of the congregation tried to reach out to her. However, she struggled with doubts about God and was reluctant to acknowledge her need for salvation. This made it challenging for CL and GT to share the gospel with her, so they chose instead to focus on building a genuine friendship with her rather than pushing the gospel message. During their most recent meeting prior to Christmas, Mdm Lee shared that a friend had invited her to church. CL and GT encouraged her to attend the Christmas service with her friend. Subsequently, their busy work and ministry schedules prevented them from meeting her again until 12 May 2025. Leading up to that day, GT felt led by the Holy Spirit to reconnect with Mdm Lee and her sister, Lydia, and coordinated with CL to arrange the meeting. Lydia later messaged GT, informing her that Mdm Lee had slipped and fallen at home, and could only meet them at West Mall, which was closer to her residence. Concerned for Mdm Lee’s well-being and her salvation, GT spent the morning praying in the spirit and interceding on her behalf. While waiting for Mdm Lee and Lydia to arrive at the designated location, GT told the Lord she didn’t know what to say or share during the breakfast. In that moment, the Holy Spirit gently impressed upon her heart with these words, “You prayed — I will do the work.” GT felt a deep sense of relief and peace. While CL and Lydia went to buy breakfast, GT took the opportunity to ask Mdm Lee about her recent fall at home. Mdm Lee shared with tears in her eyes that, ten days ago; she had slipped on wet floor and, in that moment, called out to Jesus. Sensing that her heart was receptive to receive the salvation, GT asked if she was willing to invite Jesus into her life. She gladly agreed, stretched out both hands, and allowed GT to guide her in the Sinner’s Prayer. It was a moment of joy—the three of them clapped and rejoiced over Mdm Lee’s salvation. What a privilege it is to partner with the Holy Spirit in reaching lost souls for salvation. The word of knowledge given to Madam Lee connected her to God. She continued to hold onto that word, sharing it with her sister, friends, and family. Even as she was leaving the food court, she still spoke about that significant word.
Flowing of God’s Presence
During the prayer walk, as I was praying and walking @ Orchard Towers, I felt that the streams of river waters of life flowing down inside the orchard towers building which symbolizes God’s presence that was moving surrounding the place; however, along the way, there seems to be blockage of the dark spirits that stops the streams of river from flowing down the place. From this imagery picture, I believe there are lots of spirits of oppressions in that place, yet God longs to have His presence dwelling there. Indeed, Jesus says, “But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life” and “Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them”
Joyful Experience
During the Christmas outreach, while walking around the Christmas Market, I felt the joy wanting to bless someone whomever I met, and when SK asked me whether I could bless a stall lady at one of the stall booth, I started praying for God to bless her with much joy & fruitfulness in her life and in response, she was appreciative of my gesture shown to her. In the second hour, I got the chance to befriend a deaf guy with K and he shared through a sign language that he was doing a Grab delivery services, shared how he would delivered food to different places. After that, I asked him if he has heard the gospel & he didn’t reply anything to my question. Yet, I blessed him anyway. Truly, it was wonderful time of opportunity to two different people at Christmas time.
Salvation at Botanic Gardens
During my group’s outreach session as part of the prophetic evangelism course, we had the privilege of leading a foreign worker to salvation. We were walking around the healing garden when T needed to use the toilet. After splitting from the rest and proceeding to the NParks building to use the toilet, he was praying and asking God to show him something. What he got was pictures of a calf and back, and he sensed that he should pray for healing. After getting this impression, he came across a group of foreign workers who were doing repair works at the building. He sensed that one person was the one he should pray for, but he wasn’t sure so he went to use the toilet first. After doing so, he plucked up the courage to approach this worker and ask if he had any back pain or calf pain. He said he didn’t. After that, however, he said one of his co-workers had diabetes and said we could pray for that. By this time T was with two other group members and they went to talk to this other foreign worker, who shared with us that he had diabetes and also had back and leg pain! We realised that the word we had gotten was true so we had the chance to pray and minister to this man. One of T’s group members also sensed that he was lonely and prayed to address that, while the other group member sensed that his heart was open and shared the gospel with him. He ended up saying the sinner’s prayer and choosing to believe in Jesus. We told him that he could always pray to Jesus and ask him for help. Overall, we felt that this was a divine opportunity for us to minister to his physical, emotional and spiritual needs and we thank God for the encounter.
