We started our search at a mall. Both Lydia and Patricia had identical visions of a lady in white with shoulder-length hair, who is struggling with work concerns. As we prayed and searched, Lydia and Patricia stopped at an art school and started chatting in Mandarin with the front desk lady.
She shared that she is from China and that she has been to church before but remarked, “but God doesn’t know me”. Immediately, Pat assured her that He knew her when she was in her mother’s womb. Julie then walked over to let her pick from a deck of scripture cards. We asked her to ask God what He wants to tell her. She picked Psalms 19:1.
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.” Psalm 19:1
Pat told her this is God’s calling card and He is introducing Himself to her.
Julie then had a word of knowledge. She described a small white fluffy dog that shse has, though she has yet to meet it. She was astonished. “How did you know?” she asked, and pulled out a picture of her parents holding a small white fluffy dog. Her parents got the dog after she left China, so she has not met the dog yet. Julie felt prompted to give her Jeremiah 1:5, which is EXACTLY the same word Lydia and Pat gave her earlier. Julie was not around earlier nor could she have understood the conversation in Mandarin.
Deeply moved, she let us pray for her and accepted the church invitation card. She shared that she hopes to find more a challenging job, and we prayed for her before leaving. Lydia went back the same afternoon to gift her a Chinese Bible and gospel tract.
This experience reveals God’s immense love for this young lady. He knows her, and He also built our faith that we hear Him. That day, God answered one heartfelt doubt with three powerful confirmations:
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.”
