Prayer Changes the Atmosphere
On 14 March, the four of us, David, Cindy, Christina and I, went to Paya Lebar for street evangelism. Before we went out, we spent some time praying together, and during that prayer, I received a vision of a man dressed in black. At Paya Lebar, Cindy paired up with Christina, while I partnered with David. As we walked around, trusting God to lead us to our “treasure,” we eventually noticed a lady dressed in black and felt led to enter her shop. It turned out to be a jewellery shop. We started chatting with her and asked how business had been. She shared honestly that it was very poor, with not many customers buying jewellery. As we continued talking and looking at the items in the shop, we noticed a yellow string tied around her wrist. When we asked about it, she told us she had gone to Thailand to pray and received it there, and she believed it had helped bring her some business. During the conversation, she also mentioned that she is a Christian, though she does not attend church. We then asked if we could pray for her shop. She was a little hesitant at first and said she needed to check with her boss. When her boss came over, we introduced ourselves and asked for permission to pray. He commented that she is also a Christian and that all religions are the same, but eventually, they agreed, and David prayed for the shop. As David was praying, something remarkable happened. I saw a man in an orange T-shirt walk into the shop. Shortly after, an Indian couple came in, followed by another Chinese couple with some friends. The shop, which had been quiet, suddenly had multiple customers. I even spoke briefly with the Indian lady, who shared that she was buying a ring for her husband. You could see the change immediately – the lady and her boss were smiling as they attended to the customers. I gave them a thumbs up as encouragement. What really touched me was that the lady stepped out briefly, even while serving customers, just to thank us. I also said a short prayer for her. Before we left, I gave a thumbs up to the boss as well. He was smiling and seemed genuinely happy that customers had come in. This experience reminded me how powerful prayer is and how God moves in simple yet amazing ways. Within such a short time, we saw the atmosphere change and customers come into the shop. I truly believe God was showing His love and care for them. I pray that this encounter will stay in their hearts, especially for the lady who already knows Christ, that she will be drawn closer to Him.
Prayer of blessings
Before we headed out to the beach, we prayed and asked God for a download. I saw a vision of a couple with a baby pram sitting under a brown rooftop shelter, so I drew it on a card. The man was wearing a light green top with blue shorts, and the woman had on a white or yellow top. I also sensed something about a leg issue and a work-related concern, and it felt like the woman was worried about something. Another person, D, saw a vision of a BBQ pit with the letter “A.” When we got there, we started looking for people who matched what we saw. The first person we approached was a man wearing a green top and blue pants, sitting next to a BBQ pit, though not under a brown rooftop shelter. I went up to him and asked in English if he had booked the BBQ pit. He replied in Mandarin, so I switched to Mandarin and asked where he was from. When he said Qingdao, China, I commented that Qingdao is beautiful, like Guilin. But he said Guilin has more scenic mountains and the sea. I then introduced myself and my friends, D and R, and shared that we’re Christians who wanted to tell him about Jesus. He quickly rejected us and said he doesn’t believe in any religion or in a real God. He added that if God were real, he would want to be able to see Him. D tried to share about how God healed his cancer, but the man said it was just luck. In the end, we simply blessed him with peace and happiness before we left. As we were walking along the pathway, we spotted a man sitting under a brown rooftop shelter with a baby pram beside him. This time, the colour of his T-shirt matched exactly what I had seen in my vision. To make sure I wasn’t jumping to conclusions again, we walked around the shelter twice while praying in tongues. As we came closer, I saw a woman walking towards him and sitting down. She was wearing a yellow, flowery dress. In that moment, I felt so exhilarated – what I had seen in the vision earlier was unfolding right in front of my eyes. Because of the earlier encounter, I decided to start a conversation with them in Mandarin, asking if they were a family. The woman replied that she couldn’t speak Mandarin as they are Myanmar nationals who have been living in Singapore for about 10 years. We continued chatting and found out that both them are working and that her husband travels around Southeast Asia. That’s also why they have a helper to take care of their toddler son. I asked if her husband had any leg issues, but he said he was fine. I then shared about Jesus with them, and D shared his testimony of how God healed a 5cm cancer tumor in his colon completely, without any operation. We told them that if they ever need help or face any challenges, they can call on the name of Jesus. Even though they are of another religion, the couple was open and agreed when we asked if we could pray for them. So we prayed for blessings over their work and finances, for their baby to grow strong in God’s grace, and for protection over their family both here and in Myanmar. Before we left, I showed them the drawing I had made on the card and shared that it wasn’t a coincidence, but a “God-incident.” I encouraged them to take a photo of the drawing, since it came from a vision God gave. We also took a photo together. I gave them our church service card and invited them to our Sunday service at Orchard, and mentioned that we have a children’s room for their baby as well. It was truly a divine appointment to meet the Myanmar family. Even though we made a mistake in our earlier search, we didn’t give up on sharing about Jesus.
Glory to God
This afternoon, as Avais & I walked back to church in Katong Shopping Center towards the end of the building, we met two students ( the guy, a graduate and the girl, undergraduate), the guy started chatting with us followed by the girl after we introduced ourselves to them as we began talking about the course they studied in NTU and both replied that they did in Mass Com in Engineering, I then started asking the guy if he knew who was Jesus and the guy replied that he does but he has never experienced His love and grace at all, while the girl kept quiet. It was then, I began asking whether they had any difficult moments in their study life and assured them that God is there for them if they called upon Him. Avais too chipped in. Then, Avais started praying a blessing over them and I prayed for them too; after which, I gave the card to girl with John 3:16 verse written on it, encouraged them to go back, pondered and reflect upon it, & passed the church contact for them to contact of the church’s staff, or they may drop down for a visit and our conversation ended there. Overall, I thank God for letting me have a bold courage to approach two young students (with Avais’s support) who sat themselves on the bench, while waiting to join the queue for their cake order, and how I took the chance to God’s peace and grace with them during that short time of chat. All glory to GOD!
Divine Restoration and Reunion
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11. How marvelous it is to witness the promise of Jeremiah 29:11 came alive to me as I witnessed God’s plans unfold in my life. On 24 September 2020, my mother left my house, and from that day, we neither saw nor spoke to each other. Despite the silence, I continued to pray for her, asking Yahweh to show me how she was doing. Many times, I had visions of her sitting in a park or garden, and in my dreams, I often saw us sitting together on a bench, admiring nature. This went on for four years until, in January 2024, I received a call informing me that my mother was moving into a nursing home due to her immobility. When I first visited her, I was astonished to find her sitting in a place with a bench and a view of an in-house garden, exactly as I had seen in my visions and dreams. This moment marked the beginning of our relationship’s restoration. During the years of her absence, I felt orphaned, but Yahweh comforted me, carrying my emotional pain and restoring what I thought was lost forever. I believed I would never see my mother again, but Yahweh, in His great love and grace, made the impossible possible! Since joining the Prophetic Evangelism Ministry, I have experienced restorations beyond anything I could have imagined. As we serve the Lord, He takes care of our needs and desires of our hearts. So, don’t give up on praying, and don’t stop serving the Lord, your breakthroughs are on the way! Yahweh, writes His story in our lives! So, Only Believe! ❤️
Faith on the Streets
On 27 May 2023, as Jeannie, Kevin, and I were walking outside Katong I12, we noticed a young man, Martin, standing at the entrance of the mall. Jeannie approached him and, after a brief conversation, asked if he had any prayer requests. Martin shared that he was preparing to move to Australia and was open to receiving prayers and blessings. As we prayed, each of us began to prophesy over him. Martin was overwhelmed with joy, touched by our prayers and the words of knowledge we shared. In that moment, all of us were filled with the joy of the Lord. Martin expressed how much he wished more people would go out onto the streets to bless and pray for others. It was truly amazing to witness God’s work unfold in such a beautiful way. Yahweh moves in the hearts of people in unexpected and extraordinary ways. Had we walked past Martin without praying for him, we would have missed the opportunity for Yahweh to speak life into him and bless him. As you seek the heart of Yahweh, you will see His divine love manifest in the lives of others. “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16, So, Only Believe! ❤️
FAITHFULNESS
Carol and LK returned to visit a shop owner at the jewelry shop. During their earlier prayer, LK had a vision of flowers, and they were astonished to find glass-blown flowers in the shop. The shop owner had recently undergone surgery due to an injury sustained while assisting his wheelchair-bound mother. LK prayed for the shop owner, asking for creativity and success in his business. They later discovered that the shop owner was actually an artist, and the glass ornaments in his shop were crafted by him. The shop owner, who is also a believer, requested prayers for his mother, who has been battling schizophrenia for nearly two decades. This encounter reminded them of the power of prayer and the importance of supporting one another in faith.
Lost Sheep
Carol and Glory went to the basement supermarket at I12 mall and noticed a lady limping while she worked. She shared that she was a Christian but found it hard to attend church due to her job. They prayed for her, especially for her knees. Later, they met another person promoting chocolates. She was 19 and studying at a polytechnic. When they offered to pray for her, she hesitated but then opened up, sharing that she used to attend their church but drifted away when her cell group grew and multiplied. She felt disconnected, as her friends had scattered, and the cell group no longer felt like family. They prayed for God to touch her heart and encouraged her to return to the church, giving her a service timing card. They assured her that their meeting was no coincidence and that God cares for His lost sheep. She was deeply moved by their words, feeling a renewed sense of God’s love and care.
Sunny-Side-Up
While praying near Higher Ground, LK and Cindy had visions of a sunny-side-up, a dog e-collar, and scissors. As they left, they spotted a truck delivering eggs at the church entrance but did not approach the truck as it wasn’t a sunny-side-up. Later, as they crossed the street, they saw Sister E and Brother J from Higher Ground, who were carrying a tray of eggs. Their conversation was brief due to them rushing to open the shop. After searching the Katong area without finding a sunny-side-up, a dog e-collar, or scissors, they decided to return to the church and as they sat in front of Higher Ground, they noticed that the blinds were up, revealing a menu with a sunny-side-up near the cashier. They approached Brother J to inquire if he had any prayer requests, and he requested prayers for more volunteers to help at the shop as they were short-handed.
