During my group’s outreach session as part of the prophetic evangelism course, we had the privilege of leading a foreign worker to salvation.
We were walking around the healing garden when T needed to use the toilet. After splitting from the rest and proceeding to the NParks building to use the toilet, he was praying and asking God to show him something. What he got was pictures of a calf and back, and he sensed that he should pray for healing. After getting this impression, he came across a group of foreign workers who were doing repair works at the building. He sensed that one person was the one he should pray for, but he wasn’t sure so he went to use the toilet first. After doing so, he plucked up the courage to approach this worker and ask if he had any back pain or calf pain. He said he didn’t. After that, however, he said one of his co-workers had diabetes and said we could pray for that. By this time T was with two other group members and they went to talk to this other foreign worker, who shared with us that he had diabetes and also had back and leg pain! We realised that the word we had gotten was true so we had the chance to pray and minister to this man. One of T’s group members also sensed that he was lonely and prayed to address that, while the other group member sensed that his heart was open and shared the gospel with him. He ended up saying the sinner’s prayer and choosing to believe in Jesus. We told him that he could always pray to Jesus and ask him for help. Overall, we felt that this was a divine opportunity for us to minister to his physical, emotional and spiritual needs and we thank God for the encounter.
