Is there anything impossible for Yahweh

Today, as I stepped out to my neighbourhood to grab lunch, I met a senior lady, Mdm Kathy. What began as a simple conversation about her clothes and her past job slowly became something much deeper as she shared about her family.

As she was speaking, I quietly asked the Holy Spirit, “What would You want me to tell her?” I sensed clearly to pray for her stomach. In the middle of our conversation, I gently asked if she had any stomach issues or if I could pray for her. She immediately said no… not just once, but several times. So instead, I continued to listen and speak words of encouragement.

As she opened up more, I could feel her deep pain. Her heart was broken over her only son and she felt that he would not return home. To her, the situation felt impossible.

I shared with her a simple testimony, how Yahweh multiplied my last $20 into $540 the very next day, and how He faithfully provided for me and protected me and my two children through 21 years as a single parent. I told her, “With Christ Jesus, nothing is impossible.” As I was sharing, she suddenly said she felt goosebumps on her arms. Her eyes welled up with tears. In that moment, her heart softened and she allowed me to pray for her and her family.

Towards the end of our conversation, she mentioned that she had been experiencing stomach pain since 2022 and recent visit to the doctor, he mentioned she has 1% trace of cancer. I gently reminded her jokingly, “Earlier I asked you about your stomach, and you said no.” She paused, then remembered… and apologised. I told her, “It was the Holy Spirit who prompted me to pray for your stomach.” She was deeply moved by the power and love of Yahweh.

Before we parted, we exchanged contact numbers. She shared that she would catch up with me again soon, because she wants to know more about Yahweh.

This was no accident as I have witnessed Yahweh’s divine orchestration. Evangelism is a lifestyle. And today, I saw that Yahweh does not look for perfection, He looks for willingness. It is not about how trained or experienced we are, but a heart surrendered to Him where His power can flow.
