On 1 March 2025, JS, JC and GT gathered to pray, seeking God’s guidance to reveal the treasure He had prepared for them that day.
During the time of prayer, JS received a vision of a grandfather cradling a baby in his hands. However, no specific direction was revealed regarding where to find the treasure. GT then shared a vision she had earlier in the week of small yellow flowers arranged in a creamy vase.
As JC intended to deliver eczema cream to a shop owner at Roxy Square, both JS and GT accompanied her, hoping they might find their treasure there. However, they were unable to deliver the cream as the shop owner was busy attending to a customer.
As they walked through Roxy Square feeling somewhat lost in their search, GT prayed again for God’s guidance. The nearby mail, i12 Katong, came to her mind and she suggested they head there.
At the café in i12 Katong, they saw a grandfather and a baby with their family, which made them wonder if these were the individuals from JS’s vision. However, they felt a hesitation in approaching them and sensed that this might not be the right family. Continuing their walk, they came across another grandfather with a baby in a stroller sitting at a different café.
GT noticed two small round tables, each with two chairs, and quickly took one to position them closer to the grandfather. After ordering their drinks, a young lady and a young man joined the grandfather at the table. Both JC and GT spontaneously approached the three of them and started conversation with them. They found out that the young lady and man are married to each other and that the grandfather is the young lady’s father and the baby is the young lady’s niece, C. They are Christians and were there to babysit C while waiting for C’s parents who were attending a class nearby.
GT felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to share Psalm 23:6 with the young lady. As she listened, tears streaming down her face. They invited her join their table so they could pray for her, It became evident that she was going through a difficult time.
JS noticed that the young man seemed troubled and asked if he would be willing to talk. To their surprise, he came and sat in the empty chair. He shared his struggles at work with his boss and colleagues. The words came to GT’s mind for him: “Am I not the God who has been watching over you”. They encouraged him to pray for his situation and seek God’s guidance, especially since both he and his wife said they do not really pray nor read the Bible much. They also encouraged them to consider water baptism, as both JS and GT felt the Lord was calling them to take that step of obedience.
Meanwhile, JC ministered to the grandfather. She received a word of knowledge in Chinese “寬容” (“tolerant”) meant specifically for him. GT also received the word “unforgiveness”. When she shared that someone had betrayed and hurt him before, and that God wanted him to forgive, the grandfather was surprised and asked how she knew. GT simply replied that God had revealed it to her. They also prayed for healing over the numbness in his hand, which was linked to his spine.
They also met the young lady’s brother-in-law or C’s father. He willingly sat at the empty chair which the young man had vacated. JS ministered to him with another the word of knowledge. He shared his concerns and the responsibilities he would face if he accepted the role of cell leader in his church. GT sensed a prompting from the Holy Spirit to share Nehemiah 8:10 with him as a means of encouragement to embrace this role.
As they said goodbye to the family, GT noticed their faces were glowing with joy. The once-empty chair had been filled time and again with those God had drawn to receive His love, encouragement, and healing.
JS found her treasure. As GT pondered over the vision of the small yellow flowers, the Jasmine flower came to her mind, and GT realised that the name of the young lady was Jasmine. With gratitude, she gave thanks to God for His perfect guidance in leading them to the treasure He had prepared.
PRAISE BE TO GOD.
JC: This was truly an incredible journey with God. My key takeaway is that we don’t need to strive; we simply need to let God be God. By being still, listening, and following the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we see that God is present in every step. He orchestrated this divine appointment for us to connect with a family spanning three generations – father, daughter, and granddaughter. We pray that this will become a meaningful chapter in their story, passed down through generations to come.
