On March 22nd, SK, Jaslyn, and I set out for street evangelism. Before heading out, we prayed together. During that time, SK received a vision of flowing water that abruptly stopped, followed by an image of a dried flower. Jaslyn felt led to a specific mall, while I saw a person sitting at a table with a kettle, appearing lost and seeking a solution to a problem. The scene reminded me that it could be a cafe within the mall Jaslyn had been directed to.
We proceeded to the mall, and decided to begin our search at the basement food court. There, SK noticed an elderly woman sitting alone, drinking soup. She felt a prompting that the dried flower in her vision might symbolize an elderly person.
We approached the woman, asking if we could join her. She was a friendly Christian lady, and during our conversation, she revealed that she had heart problems and wears a pacemaker. She explained that her medication had shifted her heart rhythm from slow to fast, and she also struggled with an autoimmune condition. Despite these challenges, she was actively supporting her niece and friends who were unwell. Due to her autoimmune issues, she often felt exhausted and limited in what she could do. When I asked if she felt desperate about her limitations, she initially said no, but then admitted to feeling hopeless, helpless, and desperate.
I shared with her that the Holy Spirit would fill her like rain, enabling her to encourage and minister to others, and that she would bloom like a flower, overcoming feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. I also shared my own experience of God healing me from an autoimmune condition and offered her Psalm 1:1-3 as encouragement. SK prayed for her physical healing and encouraged her to walk at God’s pace. Jaslyn shared her vision of a branch connected to a tree, reminding her of John 15:4.
Each of us took turns praying for the woman, and in return, she prayed for us. We felt that this encounter was a shared treasure for all three of us. SK noted that the steaming hot soup in the metal bowl resembled the kettle from my vision.
