During a meeting at church, I saw a picture of a ripe, yellow pineapple when we opened the meeting in prayer. I didn’t think much of it, and I did not think it was related to our treasure hunt after the meeting. Once the meeting ended, a few of us gathered to pray, asking God who He would like to send a message to that day and who needs prayer. During that time, I saw a picture of a credit card or ATM card.
So my buddy and I went out to a nearby ATM kiosk, but I did not receive any further promptings to guide us to the treasure we were looking for. Then I remembered the picture of the pineapple again, so naturally, we went to a nearby supermarket. We went to look for our treasure in the fruits section, but no one was buying the pineapples. We waited at the checkout counters, scanning for pineapples in shopping baskets. Still no one. We proceeded to scout for other signs and passed by a shop selling pineapple tarts, but we saw no customers either.
Finally, we headed to a nearby mall, where we met up with a few fellow Christians we knew. As we walked together, we noticed a maid agency with a huge pineapple paper lantern hanging in the middle of the office. But I didn’t feel led to speak with anyone. As we were about to leave, my buddy prompted me toward two foreign domestic workers seated on the floor.
Using Google Translate, we explained that we wanted to pray for them. Surprisingly, they agreed. I didn’t know how to pray in Indonesian, but I just prayed and prophesied a bit. I wasn’t even sure if they understood what I was praying, but I suddenly felt the presence of God and I noticed that the lady I was praying for was crying.
The language of God is love!
After I prayed for her, another friend who was with us shared online Indonesian gospel materials with them. It was a great time of ministering as a team!
I believe we have sowed a seed in their lives.
