Treasure Hunt at Paya Lebar Quarter

Our treasure hunt today took place at Paya Lebar Quarter. The words of knowledge and images we received were as follows:

Set 1: Doughnut; a group of students
Set 2: Red tunnel; red toy truck; SingPost atrium; praise
Set 3: A lady with a darker skin tone, likely a foreigner (we sensed this image might not be for today’s harvest)

Margaret identified a location where there was a doughnut store. When we arrived, we witnessed Sarah’s word of knowledge come alive right before our eyes—a group of three students standing outside a doughnut store, in fact sandwiched between two doughnut stores.
Our group initiated a conversation with the girls, and they were very responsive. At the end of our chat, Sarah blessed them and introduced Jesus, whose name we used during the blessing. As we departed, we prayed for them—for their studies, for a healthy mindset, and for a growing curiosity about the name of Jesus.

Next, we headed to SingPost. I was initially expecting to see a children’s playground, but instead, I noticed a book sale happening at the atrium. In front of a store with a flashing red line of light was the children’s book section. Although I had earlier noticed the word “Praise” on the back of a youth’s T-shirt from a missions school, Sarah helped me clearly identify him as the treasure.
We started a conversation, with Sarah asking what the youth was good at in school. Without hesitation, he shared a sport he excelled in. I then asked what people often praised him for. He replied “leadership,” but added that he did not want to be a leader because he did not want to draw attention to himself. I shared with him about the concept of servant leadership. With his permission, Sarah prayed over him.

We did not encounter our Set 3 treasure on that day.
